John has been an avid inventor and craft artesian for many years. He resides in Connecticut and down South part of the year. His art work has not been limited to just cookie cutters, he has invented many tool items and has processed patent(s) on them, owned several businesses through out the years and for the past 5+ years has been making cookie cutters by request mostly for people in the Arts, family and friends to hand down to their loved ones as heirlooms. Each and All of his items are hand made.

His first prodding was from his wife who became discouraged over the choices in cookie cutters. Being Italian decent and an avid baker for many years, cookie cutters were a big passion of this family for years. After much prodding, she convinced John into turning out the first one and the rest is history.

John draws his own designs by hand or has either had his son or daughter, who are talented artists with different medium, draw the designs, full circle and transmits these by hand to copper in the form of cookie cutters. The lower the number stamped on the cutters, the earlier the cutter was made. Many of his cutters although having been in circulation for a long time, have low numbers because they were made in limited numbers. His intention when he first began was to just bless his family and friends.

Because the demand became so high from family and friends of family as well as the entertainment world, John started making the cutters on the side at a nominal cost, often retiring the ones he was commissioned to make as special items shortly thereafter they were originally made. Each cookie cutter has been hand completed by him entirely and will often have an old world look and feel to it. Most cookie cutters are known to bring back a thought or 2 of one's childhood, growing up and/or special times as an adult. Most of the Christmas Cookie cutters came from the artist's childhood memories, where he grew up in a large, close New England household where money was scarce but love, family were the most important things. John's thought has always been to do something extraordinary in limited numbers so that in years to come, the buyer, has a tangible item that is a true investment which becomes a handed down heirloom. All cutters will be accompanied with a certificate of authenticity from the seller.

John as a person, is a true animal lover, has three grown children, and currently finds joy in his three precious dogs, the two Scotties, MacKenzie, Alexandra and his West Highland Terrier, Simon, with whom the business was actually been named after. You can see John's other creative work in January at the Bristol Center for Arts & Culture New England Carousel Museum in Bristol, CT as well as be able to buy his carousel cutter line there with a direct portion of the sale going to the museum.
